England, a current World T20 champion has appointed West Indies star Kieron Pollard as their assistant coach for a marquee tournament. The logic behind this decision is to provide expertise on local conditions.
The 9th edition of the ICC T20 World Cup is set to take place from June 04, 2023, to June 30, 2023, in the West Indies (WI) and USA (United States of America). A total of 7 Caribbean and 4 American venues have been decided for the World T20 2024.
England Appointed Kieron Pollard As Assistant Coach For T20 World Cup 2024
England is the current world champion in the T20 World Cup. They have won the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 by beating Pakistan in the final. England chased down a target of 138 in the final with 5 wickets and 6 balls left. Ben Stokes’s efforts with the bat helped the team to get over the line.
Now, England will look to defend the title in the ICC T20 World Cup 2024. And for that, they have decided to make Kieron Pollard their assistant coach just for that tournament.
