Shakib played the whole WC 2023 with an eye problem
Shakib al Hasan played the whole ICC World Cup 2023 tournament with an eye problem. Some reports suggested that he was facing some issues in his left eye.
In an interview after the World Cup, he said due to the blurry eyes, he found it difficult to face the ball. According to Shakib’s doctor, playing during the World Cup induced stress, which resulted in the eye issue. Shakib traveled to the United States to spend time with his family following the World Cup. Since there was no game, Shakib was naturally not under any pressure. Therefore, problems with sight were not as noticeable there.
