His ability to pick wickets at the important time and to restrict runs in the last few overs has been missed during the last year or so.

An Ireland series will be a good game time for Jasprit Bumrah before two big events (Asia Cup and ODI WC). The team can access his fitness in the game, which is very important after you came back from a long injury.

Bumrah has been bowling in the nets and to the local Mumbai players during an intra-squad match. But match fitness will be a different thing altogether. This series will help them to get back to the rhythm.

Not Rushing Bumrah’s Comeback

As a result, his injury recurred during a home T20I series against Australia, and it put him out of action for 327 days. So the team will be absolutely sure about his 100% fitness this time. They don’t want him to be rushed into the side as the last time.

Jasprit Bumrah is so important for the Indian Team in the upcoming ICC ODI World Cup 2023 and also in future going forward.

Bumrah To Lead The Side As Well

Team India lost that test as England chased down a big target of 380+ with 7 wickets left.

Ruturaj Gaikwad will be his deputy. Gaikwad will also lead the side in Asian Games 2023 in October.
